Something Nice About Arianna
So, thanks for being a good sport, Arianna. Cuz, I have no intention of easing up on you and your kool-aid drinking goons!

And on Wednesday night, I'll be on the Colbert Report discussing truthiness among other things.
Ahhhh. Now I get it. This is just a little suckup time before she appears as a guest on the Colbert Report. Its just a plug!! I wonder if Colbert will tease Arianna about her Eva Gabor accent?"I grew up at a time when people were not afraid of people with firearms …" Scalia said. He told the group that, as a child growing up in New York City, he was part of a rifle team at the military school he attended.
"I used to travel on the subway from Queens to Manhattan with a rifle," he said. "Could you imagine doing that today in New York City?
"I hope (hunting culture) can be preserved … the hunting culture, of course, begins with a culture that does not have a hostile attitude toward firearms."
That headline about Scalia traveling on the subway with a rifle? That was intended to stir your leftist emotions, specifically the one that says guns are bad.
Here's how the Tolerant and Diverse group of Huffington devotees went on to describe the Supreme Court Justice:
More evidence that Scalia is just a cheap two-bit thug in a robe.
Wild Turkey? Is that what they hunt or what Cheney was drinking?
If Cheney had a more powerful weapon, his friend that he shot in error, would be dead.
Scalia should resign from being a justice if he wants to become a politican. He is showing old age and the inability remain open minded and listen to the arguments on both sides.
He should also have been impeached for stealing the 2000 elections by not allowing the counting of our votes.
Bush has already taken away many of our rights, and he is working on the rest of them.
Hunters love nature the same way pedophiles love children.
You do NOT have the unfettered right to own a gun unless you are part of a well-regulated militia -- drilling, training, REGULATED.
If rifles where the only fireams allowed then , yes, criminals would use rifles, but at least you would see them coming.
It was just a matter of time before Scalia backed up Cheney. After all he's been doing it for years. They are hunting buddies after all.
Scalia appears like the ultimate Mafia enforcer, but instead he's Supreme Court.
Scalia-he has to pop out of the bag of assholes every once in awhile.
What a liar, and a pussy. If he felt he had to do this, his real-name is Bernard Goetz. Pussy.
Those black people really scare republicans don't they?
That a rabid crackpot like Scalia "champions" this so called "sport" should be tell tell -a psycho-pussy with a weapon getting his kicks by decimating innocent life for no reason whatsoever....
Its obvious that most of these idiots didnt even read the article, they only read the HP subheading, and then like lemmings they started their faithful march to the sea.
Remember, they think their views are mainstream.
From a column by Jane Hamsher on 11/3/05, titled "Immanentize This":
"Buckley got the Medal of Freedom from Bush Sr. There were many long-time GOP honchos who got pushed off the stage when the NeoCons made their unholy alliance with the College Republicans for control of the hearts and...okay, well the hearts of Christo-crazed America. That they might be ready for some payback too should surprise no one.
Before anybody gets all misty-eyed over ol' Bill as a "true conservative" as opposed to the current cabal of kleptocratic usurpers within the Republican party, remember that he rose to prominence defending Joe McCarthy and segregation. Bill is something less than a Great Man. He is the author of God and Man at Yale, and it was never quite clear which one Bill thought he was."
Then the Huffington Post readers added their 2 cents of tolerance and diversity:
Nice backhand to Mr. Buckley. He never has had a conversation as much as he gives pretentious lectures to shocked people wondering: Why am I sitting here listening to this preposterous ass?
The Pedagogical Mr. Buckley will never die, he just lives to drone on and on and on. But at least his facial twitches are amusing as he dithers on.
William F. Buckley?
Aint he that dude who like to use big words to intimidate persons?
Willian F. ... a true media whore Diva's media whore Diva.
William F Buckley, a true candy ass with yellow teeth, a rumpled look an odd posture, weirder yet are his affiliations (secret society bits, involving some twisted version of Catholic Christianity) a damn fool with a large vocabulary.
Buckley is an attention-grabbing buffoon who stands out like a sore thumb everywhere he goes.
Mr. Buckley needs to contribute something meaningful, or quit writing; otherwise it is simply mental masturabation on his part.
What evil Lurks in the hearts of men (Buckley too)? The Shadow knows..............."Not surprisingly, the Bush administration has significant business ties to DP World. According to the New York Daily News, David Sanborn, who runs DP World's European and Latin American operations, was named by Bush to direct the U.S. Maritime Administration just last month."
Well, lets take a look at this Sanborn fellow. He must be some unqualified lackey lining the Bush Family's pockets somehow, right? His bio reads:
Mr Sanborn, a graduate of The United States Merchant Maritime Academy, joined DP World in 2005. He previously held senior roles with shipping lines CMA-CGM (Americas), APL Ltd and Sea-Land and has been based, besides the US, in Brazil, Europe, Hong Kong and Dubai during his career. He has also served in the US Naval Reserve.
How dare George Bush nominate somebody for this position who is not only a graduate of the Maritime Academy, but also a US Naval Reserve veteran? And all those years of working as an executive for the largest shipping operations in the world, how does that help the U. S. Maritime Administration? I mean, all they do is regulate U.S. ocean commerce, supervise freight and terminal facilities, and administer Government funds to construct and operate commercial ships.
Katrina, you really strike out on this one. There is no evil subplot here, just a very qualified individual being tapped for an important role involving commerce and defense. I know the words commerce and defense make you wince, hon., but I fail to see how this constitutes 'significant business ties to DP World'.
Her second example of close financial ties to the Bush Administration is John Snow:
"...And Treasury Secretary John Snow, who headed the federal review of the deal, was Chairman of CSX which sold its international port operations to DP Word for $1.15 billion just one year before Mr. Snow joined the Bush cabinet."
"Burnell is yet to move to South Carolina himself, he says, because he is busy recruiting. But he says he is working out the logistics for his family to relocate. Considering the size of the exodus so far - only about 20 people have moved to the Palmetto State, most of them in the past year - Burnell's optimism might seem quixotic."
So, rest easy SC. A mob of religious fanatics is not descending upon your state to institute sharia law. I guess 20 people is all it takes to have a 'movement' these days..."The usual suspects are slipping into the Golden State. Political season is looming, there's a February chill in the Pacific breeze, and the GOP political 'family' is hard at work. California's appointed (as opposed to elected) Republican Secretary of State has recertified Diebold's voting machines, despite a damning report. Schwarzenegger is hiring a "steely" Karl Rove insider turned Dick Cheney capo, along with other national GOP campaign pols, to run his re-election campaign.
The "shock-the-vote" gang is ready to roll into the Golden State with their patented blend of dishonest spin, old-fashioned dirty tricks - and easy-to-rig voting machines that are being manufactured by Republicans and purchased by other Republicans."
And there you have it, more responsible conspiracy theories to dampen this years forthcoming losses at the ballot box. Isnt it scary? I mean, he practically paints a picture for you. Republicans are like the mafia. Cheney is a 'capo'. The GOP is 'the family'. And that part about a 'Karl Rove insider'....well it sounds like they have sent their best hit men in for this job.
