Makes My Blood Boil
Today the HuffPo has proto-marxist wingnut Tony Hendra penning a blog titled, Immigrants? It's Their Country.
Get a load of some of the tripe from his column:
You call them ‘illegals’? Uh-uh. Not very many generations ago – a mere squirrel-blink in the 50,000+ years’ life of the human race - this was their country.
Somewhere Texans, Arizonans et al seem to have gotten the impression that they actually have a right to live on the lands their grandfathers stole at the point of a gun.
This is even more hilarious when the bloviator in question belongs to the party nominally led by the cretin from Crawford who is not just an immigrant like the rest of us, but – despite his faux-cracker accent - the son of a carpetbagger.
When Marx identified the bourgeoisie as the prime enemy he got it exactly right. You don’t have to subscribe to the rest of his ideas to thank him for that.
Harsher penalties for undocumented ‘illegals’ It’s all bullshit. Historically and morally we’re the illegals. As they pass through, roses should be strewn in their path and profound apologies offered to them one by one. It’s not much but it’s the least we can do.
This is The Left in America today. Open borders, Moral relativism, Socialism, Marxism. America is the bad guy in the world. He calls our president a 'cracker' and 'carpetbagger'. So, a family that originally lived in the Northeast US. moves and then starts a new life in Texas during the second half of the 20th century and they are considered carpetbaggers.
And illegal aliens who sneak across our border should have rose petals strewn in their path.
What if they arent Mexican? What if they are Hezbollah?
FBI Director Robert Mueller said this week that his agency busted a smuggling ring organized by the terrorist group Hezbollah that had operatives cross the Mexican border to carry out possible terrorist attacks inside the U.S.
"This was an occasion in which Hezbollah operatives were assisting others with some association with Hezbollah in coming to the United States,” Mueller told a House Appropriations subcommittee during a Tuesday hearing on the FBI's budget.
And they want us to actually consider voting Democrat this year? I dont think so....Remember, they think their views are mainstream...

Huffington Post Has No Integrity
But when you click on the link you soon discover that the headline is a purposeful manipulation of the authors intentions.
Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist plans to step down from his role as Majority Leader when his second term ends this year so he can concentrate on his presidential ambitions.
Asked if trying to run a campaign from such a position would be difficult, he replied: "Terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible."
In other words, it would be insane to make a run for president while trying to act as Majority Leader, there is simply too much work to be done. So he is doing the right thing. You would never get the impression that that was the intent of the story from the HuffPo's intentionally deceitful headline.
The HuffPo had decided to dutifully play by the rules of the template designated by the DNC.
You are going to notice the following for the rest of this year:
Frist Bashing, Iraq Bashing, and Hillary Bashing. Hillary is out with the moonbat left. Her ploy of trying to mold a public image as a moderate has fooled even the members of her own party and now they no longer trust her. They are very worried of Frist as a potential player in '08. Very worried.
And since the Dems still havent unveiled any sort of a plan, the only card they have left in their deck is the We-Are-Losing-In-Iraq card and 'redeployment'.
The HuffPo really believes it can fool all of the people all of the time. As long as they are Democrats.
Wont Find It At The HuffPo
In a significant vindication for President Bush, a judge who co-authored the 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act said Tuesday that the president was duly authorized under the Constitution to order the wiretapping of suspected terrorists - without getting a warrant from the FISA Court.
Testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee, former FISA Court Judge Allan Kornblum said that president's Constitutional powers supersede the FISA law, which critics claim the Bush program violated

'Redeployment' - Solid Marketing, Wrong Demographic
Trey Ellis used the phrase extensively in his blog entry at the HuffPo today. One of my favorite quotes from a previous blog entry by Trey's is "I remember how heartbroken I was watching the recount of the Bush/Gore election. I knew we had more votes than they did but I also knew that they wanted to win more than Gore's team did."
You see, Trey is psychic. He 'knew' they had more votes. So, for our benefit Trey has summoned his psychic powers once more and focused them on solving the problems in Iraq.
His blog today is titled:
"You're Not Protecting This Nation Competently, Mr. President. Here's How We Will."
Tactic #1 is for the Dems to "hold a National Security Summit, acting as if they were already in power, so that when we take back the House and Senate in November we will hit the ground running."Translation: Lets play pretend. The summit is pointless, nothing more than a photo-op and more blustering. If the Dems have a plan they should present it. No doubt their summit will find that everything in the nation has gone to hell in a handbasket. Harry Reid has already pulled this stunt a dozen times.
Tactic #2 is to develop "A Democratic Plan for Honoring and Protecting Our Troops." "No permanent U.S. bases in Iraq. If we're not occupying Iraq to steal their oil then there is no excuse for those permanent bases. That declaration will be one step in getting the bull's eye off our soldiers' backs."
Translation: The U.S. is only in Iraq to steal their oil. We must promise that when we cut and run we wont leave behind any protection for the new Iraqi government.
Tactic #3 "Calls for the Wes Clark/John Kerry call for an aggressive regional diplomatic initiative incorporated into some compromise between Murtha's immediate redeployment plan and the Center for American Progress's one-year "strategic redeployment." Those of us who would favor Murtha's plan need to realize that even if we started pulling out today it would still take months to compete." (sic)
Translation: "Its only going to take a few months to surrender and get out of there. " 'Strategic redeployment' and "redeployment" are nothing more than new buzzwords for 'surrender'.
Tactic #4 "We will also be forcing Iraqis to come together to form a new government. Behind the scenes we would tell both sides that we will not allow Iraq to turn into either part of Greater Iran or re-Baathified. Beyond that they have to work it out for themselves."
Translation: "They are on their own, baby". Trey, They already have a new government in place. Exactly how will you enforce your 'behind the scenes' mandate that you will not allow Iraq to be re-Baathified? Remember, you dont plan to have any U.S. bases or presence in the country anymore. See Tactic #2. Are you saying that if all out civil war breaks out once we cut and run, we are going back in?
Tactic #5 "At the Democratic summit the Dems need to invite the slate of new Iraq war veterans and position them front and center. Kerry, Gore, Murtha, General Clark, Max Cleland and the other Democrats who are also decorated veterans need to be there too, all in a long, straight line. They need to point out that every single one of the several dozen men and women standing in the picture have more combat experience than Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld combined."
Translation: Sooo, it IS a photo-op. Didnt this Wiley Coyote strategy already blow up in your faces once before in the last election? Will John Kerry step up to the mic, give a dopey salute, and say "John Kerry, reporting for duty"? For a party that accuses every move by Bush as a photo-op, well let me just say, "Kettle.....Pot", you fill in the blanks.
It certainly spells out a clear vision for Iraq. We pull out, tens of thousands of innocent men, women, and children get slaughtered in the worst way imaginable, an Islamo-facist regime takes control and things are ten times worse than before Saddam. Meanwhile, the terrorists prove that they were right, that the Americans are a bunch of pussies who cant go the distance once they get their nose bloodied. And the world has newfound respect for America after this, right?
I should point out that every one of these tactics is why John Kerry is not in the White House. We knew this is what they would do if given the chance. We cant let that happen, we wont let that happen. Not just for our standing in the world, but for the citizens of Iraq who have been given a chance to embrace freedom and have a prosperous nation.
Now is no time to surrender. Now is no time to cut and run. To even suggest that our troops have lost, that they cant win, that they are broken and beaten, is the same as spitting in their faces.
"Strategic Redeployment".....great marketing, wrong demographic.
Integrity
However, one question did catch my eye:
4.) The GOP crowd that was going to "restore honor and integrity" to Washington has instead given us Abramoff, DeLay, Libby, Frist, Santorum, Safavian, and Claude Allen. If this is what integrity looks like, can you blame those who'd like to bring back Oval Office blow jobs?
Can you picture somebody asking President Bush this question during a press conference? I mean, I could if it were Helen Thomas or David Gregory....
The truth is that the last Democrat to hold the Oval office was anything but a pillar of integrity. This is what they want us to go back to?
On his last day in office, in between blowjobs, Slick Willie was getting a cramp in his wrist from signing the following pardons. ALL IN ONE DAY...and that is one nice library he built.....Take a gander at this list and then tell me the Democrats have any business lecturing anybody about integrity:

Figure Skating - It Is So A Sport
A friend and I were watching curling during the Olympics and discussing how boring the games had become. I mentioned that I liked figure skating the most. He said,
"Figure skating? How gay."
Well, I dont care what anybody thinks. I have great respect for these athletes and their talented moves. I cant say why exactly, theres just something about it that I really like....
Our Protesters Are Better Than Theirs
No matter how you look at it, our protesters are better than theirs. We had 500,000 idiots in the streets of LA and there werent any serious problems. Sure there were a bunch of illegals waving Mexican and Honduran flags but there was no notable violence. Just people exercising their right to peaceably assemble.
Contrast that with the French protesters. Its anarchy. Burning cars, attacking the police, busting out store windows, molotov cocktails and more. Its worse than what happens in Portland when a new Starbucks or WalMart comes to town. (Why has Arianna made no mention of the civil war in France? ) The police are using water cannons, tear gas, and paintball guns on protestors. They actually shoot the troublemakers with paintballs so they can I.D. them later. Awesome idea, props to the Frogs!
Get a clue, French protesters! You dont have to destroy everything. At the end of the day you would pretty much accomplish the same thing (i.e. looking stupid) as if you had simply marched around with a bunch of signs bearing tired bumper sticker slogans. Try some of these on for size: "YOU CANT FIRE ME, I .....I SURRENDER!" , or "OUI OUI, HO HO, CHIRAC HAS GOT TO GO", or "WHO WILL MAKE YOUR CROISSANTS AND PICK YOUR GRAPES NOW?", or "BUSH IS HITLER".
Any of these will have the same effect as burning down your city: Little To None.
I thought the French considered themselves the 'enlightened elite' of the world.
Compared to our protesters they are just a bunch of foul smelling, anarchist amateurs.
USA! USA!
Lets Just Surrender, Arianna
I'm going to answer these questions for you, Arianna, since they have already been answered repeatedly but you choose to ignore the answers. I'm going to pretend I am one of your actor friends playing the role of the president:
Arianna writes:
As part of his latest PR push on Iraq, President Bush has been giving another round of speeches and -- wonder of wonders -- fielding questions from audience members and reporters alike. Well, as long as he's in a question-answering state of mind I thought I'd offer up a few questions of my own:
1.) Last week, you insisted: "I didn't want war. To assume I wanted war is just flat wrong... it's simply not true." Yet source after source after source suggests otherwise, including your former Treasury Secretary, Paul O'Neil, who has said that invading Iraq was a goal set out at your first National Security Council meeting, just ten days after your inauguration: "It was all about finding a way to do it. That was the tone of it. The president saying 'Go find me a way to do this.'" Mr. President, is Paul O'Neil lying?
Yes, Paul O'Neil has misrepresented the facts. He is what is known as a disgruntled former employee. It is true that regime change in Iraq was of high interest to us from day one. Iraq had thumbed its nose at the rest of the world, ignoring U.N. sanctions and resolutions. They were a conduit for state sponsored terrorism. They fired on our planes in the no-fly zone and had a leader who constantly proclaimed 'death to America'. They attempted to make nuclear weapons but their reactor was bombed by the Israelis. With Saddam in power, they were a lethal threat to the U.S. and if you cant see that, then you have blinders on. I never instructed Paul or anybody to 'go find me a way to do this' and you know that.
2.) Despite the fact that dozens of Iraqis a day are dying in sectarian violence, you continue to insist that Iraq is not in a civil war. How many dead Iraqis per day would it take before you'd be willing to concede that civil war has broken out?
About 200 people were murdered in the U.S. today. Are we at civil war? During our country's civil war, tens of thousands would die in a single day. This went on for years. That was a civil war, Arianna. A few thugs in dirty nightshirts carrying out terrorist acts does not constitute an all out civil war, though you would very much like to see things deteriorate to that. Its quite apparent that you WANT civil war in Iraq, it would make your day. We are not seeing all out fighting in the streets of Iraq. That isnt to say that there arent insurgents intent on destabilizing the nation, there are. But this has not devolved into civil war.
3.) Speaking of civil war, your Iraq-is-not-a-civil-war assessment was directly contradicted by former prime minister Ayad Allawi, a man whose credibility you considered unimpeachable in 2004, saying: "He's a brave, brave man... You can't change the dynamics on the ground if you've criticized the brave leader of Iraq." Has your opinion of him changed now that he's no longer saying what you want to hear?
Ayad Allawi is one man with one opinion. I respect him, but just because I once praised him him does not mean that I agree with everything that comes out of his mouth. You had no use for Ayad before he said this. Now you think he is a pillar of respect. My opinion of him hasnt changed, he is free to disagree with me.
4.) Allawi has said: "We are losing each day, as an average, 50 to 60 people through the country, if not more. If this is not civil war, then God knows what civil war is." Do you think this is something you might discuss with God next time you speak?
I believe I just answered this question, but I see where you are going with it. I pray to God, like most Americans. I ask God for his blessings and guidance in my daily life. I 'talk' to God in my prayers, but he does not carry on a conversation with me in an audible voice. I know you have little respect for God or religion, but to insinuate that I believe I have private conversations with God is disingenous and insulting.
5.) You have steadfastly supported Secretary Rumsfeld, recently claiming: "He's done a fine job." Just how bad would things have to get before you'd be willing to downgrade that to "a so-so job"? What, in your eyes, would you consider "a really crummy job"?
Losing. Thats how we would define a real crummy job. Do you think our troops are being mowed down in Iraq like ducks in a shooting gallery? Because I have seen nothing to indicate that. We now average less than an American death per day. It was 2-3 at one point. Unfortunately for you, we didnt lose 10,000+ troops in the opening invasion as many on the Left claimed we would. Our troops are kicking ass over there. We didnt fire our generals after D-Day, and yet by todays media standards that was a mission replete with poor planning and many deaths. War is not perfect. It never will be.
6.) You have indicated that you now believe that there will be American troops in Iraq until at least 2009, saying the decision about withdrawing all U.S. forces will be made by "future presidents and future governments of Iraq." Given that, do you now feel that your May 2003 Mission Accomplished moment, during which you claimed "major combat operations in Iraq have ended," was a tad premature?
Major combat operations have ended, Arianna. Are you an idiot? We are no longer dismantling the Elite Guard. We are no longer flying 200 bombing sorties per day. We are in a mop up stage. Flash back to WWII in Germany. A year after the war had ended, we were still fighting pockets of insurgency in Germany. Do you understand the difference between 'major combat operations' and 'combat'? Apparently not. Next question....
7.) Was the flight suit you wore intentionally one size too small?
I dont think so. It seemed a bit snug, but I dont intentionally order my clothes to be one size too small. Your point would be?
8.) Yes or no, are we building permanent military bases in Iraq? If yes, how many?
We are building the infrastructure necessary for us to complete the job. Would you also like me to provide maps of the bases, troop strengths, and other info the enemy would find very useful? Maybe one of the democrat senators will leak that information to you later....
9.) Total U.S. expenditures on the Iraq war have now been pegged at $320 billion. Assuming the war had never happened, what would we have done with that money?
I probably would have given it back to the people. $1500 to each American. Unfortunately, we have a WAR going on and we are fighting the ENEMY. War is expensive. Freedom doesnt have a price tag. Are you saying that when the price tag reaches a certain figure its time to pull up stakes and cut and run? It sure does sound like it.
10.) No one died as a result of Watergate, but thousands have died to rid the world of an imminent threat that wasn't. Will history declare your administration's actions in the lead-up to the war in Iraq a greater scandal than Watergate?
Are you an expert on foreign policy, Arianna? We still maintain that he was a threat. Furthermore, I have NEVER said he was an imminent threat. In fact, I said, "though he is not at this time an imminent threat, we cant wait until he is".
No, history will not judge my administration poorly. Quite the contrary.
11.) You and several members of your administration have repeatedly said members of Congress saw "the same intelligence" as you did before the invasion. But in the Sept. 21, 2001 PDB, you were told that there was no evidence linking Saddam Hussein to the September 11th attacks. And yet you never gave this information to Congress. Do you still believe they saw "the same intelligence" you did?
I have NEVER said there was a direct link between Saddam and 911. Never. There are links between Saddam and Al Qaeda, this is proven and we are finding more evidence each day. There are links between Saddam and state sponsored terror and you know this. Dont pretend otherwise.
12.) In your opinion (as opposed to Halliburton's), has there been war profiteering in the Iraq war? Do you know how many billions have gone unaccounted for? Are you even curious?
There will always be somebody who will profit during war. People dont work for free, even during wartime. Those who cheat us should be prosecuted, nobody can argue that.
13.) Do you agree with Harry Truman that war profiteering is treason?
Hard to say what his definition was. The only link you provide is not a direct quote from Truman. I think there is a difference between profiteering and profiting.
14.) You have said America has no choice but to remain in Iraq to prevent Al Qaeda from using the country as a terrorist base. Would you say Al Qaeda's presence in Iraq has increased or decreased since we invaded?
Increased. They are coming to fight the Americans. And as they do, they decrease, cuz we are KILLING them. And there sure seem to be plenty of them there for a country with no connection to Al Qaeda. But they are no longer using it as a 'training base'. Now it is the front line of death for them.
15.) You claimed, in September 2002, that "you can't distinguish between Al Qaeda and Saddam when you talk about the war on terror." Did you really mean this?
Yes, Saddam sponsored state terrorism. He sent money to the families of Palestinian terrorists. There is evidence that personnel from his govt met with various Al Qaeda operatives. He said on a daily basis, "Death to America". They have the same agenda as each other: Death to America.
16.) Can you not differentiate between a group of evil ultraradical Islamic fundamentalists who carried out the September 11 attacks and an evil secular nationalist who, despite the frantic efforts of your administration, has in no way been directly linked to 9/11?
This is the 3rd time you've asked this question. Please refer to questions #11 and #15.
17.) Given that you claim intelligence about Iraq was not manipulated, was intelligence that suggested Iraq didn't have WMD as welcome as intelligence that suggested it did? Could an intelligence official who brought you the former expect to advance as quickly as one who brought you the latter?
Are you suggesting that disagreeing with our assessment of Iraq was a career limiting move? No intelligence was manipulated. No evidence has shown that intelligence was manipulated. How many times do you need to hear this?
18.) You've said it is "preposterous" to claim that the diversion of troops and equipment to Iraq had anything to do with the government's delayed response to Hurricane Katrina, but a secret Pentagon report and the head of the National Guard say otherwise. Were people suffering and dying in Louisiana and Mississippi because so many of our National Guard members and so many billions of tax-payer dollars were diverted to Iraq?
No, most of them were suffering because they were too STUPID to heed warnings that this was a major major deadly storm and that New Orleans was below sea level. Katrina was the perfect example of the clusterfuck bureaucracy that has always existed at the federal and state levels of govt. It was the perfect example of the welfare state thinking everything will be taken care of for them and that they could just sit there and hope for the best. It certainly could have been better coordinated, mistakes were made, but it would not have made a bit of difference if every single Natl Guard member was here or not. Keep in mind that this was the worst natural disaster in our countrys' history.
19.) Given that you've made the Iraq war a top priority of your administration, have you ever discussed military service with your daughters? How would you feel if they enlisted?
Their choice. They are adults and we have a voluntary military. I've also made Social Security reform a top priority but I havent urged my daughters to work for the Social Security Admin. I want lower taxes for Americans but that doesnt mean I have asked my girls to work for the IRS. Whats the point of this question? Regardless, I'm sure if they enlisted I would be as proud of them as any parent would.
20.) More than 2,300 American soldiers have been killed and over 17,000 wounded since the Iraq war began. Care to predict what these numbers will be at the end of the "long, hard slog"?
Would you? Because so far, you guys in the media have been doing a piss poor job of predicting or reporting anything with any degree of accuracy. We are averaging less than 2 combat deaths per day. There hasnt been a war in our country's history that has had a lower casualty rate than this conflict.

Lets Talk About Assimilation
But lately is seems that people want to crash our borders illegally and then demand that we accomodate their culture rather than assimilating to ours. I think its wonderful that people have affection and pride for the culture of their ancestors country of origin. One side of my family came from England in the 1840's and the other side came from Norway in the late 1800's. To this day there is a huge population of Norwegian and German descendants living in the Dakotas. My grandmother was born here but she had a tinge of the Norwegian accent.
When they arrived here they didnt hang Norways' flag off their front porch. They learned English as quickly as possible. They were proud of their heritage and extremely proud of their new country. The ballots at election polls werent printed in Norwegian or German.
I lived in California for 8 yrs: Long Beach, Santa Ana, and San Diego. Here's a description of Santa Ana from when I lived there in 1998:
97% Latino. I dont have a problem with that.
70-80% of them here illegally. I have a problem with that.
Hard working? I'm sure they are but they are here illegally. I dont care if they are seeking a better life. Get in line like the rest of the world. A bank robber is seeking a better life too.
Here's how well they have assimilated:
1. They dont speak English. People who have been here for 30-40 yrs and dont speak English.
2. They dont intend to ever speak English. They dont have to. Their newspapers, their radio stations, and their teachers all use Spanish. Their ballots are in Spanish. The ATM's are in Spanish. When you call Citibank you hear "Para Espanol, limpia quatro" (i think thats what they are saying). We accomodate them, we enable them.
3. Mexican flags in Santa Ana flying from businesses outnumber American flags 20-1. You would swear you were in Mexico except that you cant smell any raw sewage.
4. Montgomery Wards on Bristol St: All of the in-store sales announcements are in Spanish. No English. The signs in the store are all in Spanish. The Help Wanted sign says "Must speak Spanish".
You think I am kidding? Take a drive down Bristol Street in Santa Ana and check it out.
OF COURSE, I will get the idiots who comment that I hate people of color. Thats the easiest recourse for people who cant debate in a reasonable way.
According the the Justice Dept: 17% of the inmates in the U.S. Federal Prison System are illegals. 50% of Californias prisons are filled with illegal aliens from Mexico who had previous criminal records before they even got here. Lots of new gangs in the last decade: Latin Kings, 18th Street, Brown Side Locos, La Gran Familia, La Raza, Los Zetas, Malditos 13, Mara Salvatrucha, Nortenos, Pachucos 21...all the result of rampant illegal immigration.
10% of the entire population of Mexico has illegally emigrated to the U.S. since 1980.
Our emergency rooms are overrun (ER cant turn away anybody regardless of legal status or ability to pay). Our schools systems are exploding at the seams. How much do you think this costs?
And we should turn a blind eye while 500,000 more people stream across our border each year?
The point I am trying to make is that the U.S. welcomes skilled immigrants who wish to be a part of America, those who wish to be Americans. We arent in any way an anti-immigrant nation. Everybody wants to live in America and who can blame them? We have a strong economy, low unemployment, and a wonderful President.
But, the law abiding people who wait in line and do things legally are getting bitch-slapped while the linecutters get to push the big red Easy button and skate by.
The LEGAL immigrants want to be part of America. The ILLEGAL aliens want to be a part of the economy, they are after a buck, a better standard of living, and who can blame them?
But, they could really give a shit about being Americans. And if you dare to point that out, you are nothing but a xenophobic racist.

The HuffPo uses a headline "GOP Bill Prompts Hundreds of Thousands of Protesters".
I have a hard time understanding why this has resulted in so many people taking to the streets. Lets see, we want to pass a law that says violating our immigration laws is a felony.
We want to build a fence along the border to prevent people from entering our country ILLEGALLY.
During these dangersous times, we find it unthinkable to allow an Arab state to manage our docks but its alright to let 1,500 complete strangers sneak across our border each night.
To suggest that Americans hate immigrants is completely dishonest. These arent immigrants, these are illegals. One protester proclaimed, "They are picking on the weakest link in society, which has built this country." They built this country? They may have helped put up the drywall, but to claim they built the country is asinine.
Try this: Sneak into any country in the world with forged passport and papers misrepresenting who you really are. Get yourself a job. Then take to the streets with an American flag and demand that ballots be printed in English, demand free healthcare and higher paying jobs, demand that they honor your forged documents by awarding you a drivers license. Demand the right to vote. Demand that they educate your children and provide all the amenities afforded legal citizens.
Then when they say, "ENOUGH!", take to the streets and label them as anti-immigrant racists. Make no mistake, most democrats feel the same as most republicans on this issue. But, the democrats dont have the cajones to do anything about it.

If Only The Queen Had Balls
Over at the HuffPo there's some wishful thinking going on.
Sigh...such short memories. If only they had stopped the 2004 election at noon, when the liberal media had declared Kerry winning in a landslide based on the exit 'polls'...
If only elections and issues were resolved by 'polls' how lucky the democrats would be. If I answered a poll today that asked 'are you satisfied with Bush's current performance' I would answer 'no'. That doesnt mean I am voting for a democrat this fall. That doesnt mean I wish President Kerry was in the White House instead of President Bush (I voted for the guy with the higher college GPA).
If only I could go back in time and buy my powerball ticket....If only the Queen had balls, she'd be King...

Keith Olbermann - 'Barbara Bush, Worst Person In World'
Olbermann charged on Monday night that the White House was responsible for leaking the embarrassing e-mail from ABC News producer John Green, that opined how Bush made him "want to puke".
Keith Olbermann: "The war against the media, it's not something from our imagination, and it certainly got a little personal today. There was an e-mail that a producer at ABC News had written in the fall of 2004 during the presidential campaign that was leaked to the infamous, deplorable Matt Drudge. The e-mail read, as a posting today: 'Are you watching this? Bush makes be sick. If he uses the "mixed messages" line one more time, I'm going to puke.' I'm not even going to put the 'if that came from the White House somehow' thing in there because the timing's too good."
This loser is such a waste of airtime. MSNBC could easily have hired some hot set of legs for this show, but instead they go with this tired King of Low Ratings All-Star.
But this is just the appetizer. Olbermman goes on to label Barbara Bush as the Worst Person In The World because she gave a bunch of money to the Katrina fund and asked that it be earmarked for educational software from a company her son worked for.
" You'd think if a woman has reached her 80th birthday she'd understand that if you make a donation to charity, then make the charity give the donation to your son, it's not a damned donation anymore! Barbara Bush, today's 'Worst Person in the World'!" - Keith Olbermann
He fails to mention that the Bush family also gave a boatload of money to the fund without designating how it be spent.
Olbermann has always shown disdain for the Bush family, but to attack the mother of the President of the United States and label her as the Worst Person In the World is both irresponsible and vicious. What kind of person gives an award out like this anyway? Worst Person in The World? Worse that Osama? Worse than Sadamm? Worse than W? To even have such a "worst person" award displays a complete lack of class and integrity.

No Liberal Media Bias?
This story says a lot about the 'news' on television. Americans are tired of being presented a slanted version of the news that cleary has an agenda to Get Bush and push the liberal agenda. I can picture this producer watching Bush on tv and just seething, the hatred swelling his liberal brain to twice its acorn size. And you think this doesnt have an influence on how a story is reported to you?
I've been switching back and forth between CNN, MSNBC, and CNN Headline News to see who, besides FOX News, is going to report this story.
....so far only Fox. Thats why I watch Fox. Liberals think its pro-Bush, when in actuality all Fox is doing is presenting BOTH sides of a story and letting the viewers decide. Liberals dont take kindly to that. If it isnt Bash Bush, it isnt news to them.
And thats why this producer was so pissed off as he watched Bush on television. Bush received a standing ovation from a crowd that loved him. How could this be happening? Why were all the Who's down on Whoville not weeping and gnashing their teeth like the rest of the moonbats? So he whips out his Blackberry to send a snide Hate-Bush comment to a co-worker. Ooops!! Not good:
ABC NEWS EXEC: 'BUSH MAKES ME SICK'; E-MAIL REVEALED
A top producer at ABC NEWS declared "Bush makes me sick" in an email obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT.
John Green, currently executive producer of the weekend edition of GOOD MORNING AMERICA, unloaded on the president in an ABC company email obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT.
"If he uses the 'mixed messages' line one more time, I'm going to puke," Green complained.
The blunt comments by Green, along with other emails obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT, further reveal the inner workings of the nation's news outlets.
A friend of Green's at ABC says Green is mortified by the email. "John feels so badly about this email. He is a straight shooter and great producer who is always fair. That said, he deeply regrets the sentiment expressed in the email and the embarrassment it causes ABC News."
AND IN A RELATED STORY...
Huge Applause for Wife's Anti-Media Blast
At a forum with President Bush Wednesday in West Virginia, the wife of a U.S. serviceman was drowned out by a standing ovation when she said it "seems that our major media networks don't want to portray the good" in Iraq. CBS and NBC both ignored the moment, with NBC instead showing a West Virginian who protested the war: "Our people's being killed over there for nothing."mrc story link
EU bans almost 100 airlines from its skies
An airline used by thousands of British holidaymakers to fly to Thailand heads a list of 92 "dubious" carriers which are to be banned from flying to or over all 25 EU countries after failing safety tests. Phuket Airlines, which was barred from British airspace last year after an in-flight fuel leak, has been added to the banned list which will come into force tomorrow.
The 92 passenger and cargo airlines, mostly based in Africa, include all but one of the 51 carriers operating from the Democratic Republic of Congo and all airlines from Equatorial Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Swaziland.
Who in their right mind would ever step on a plane owned by an airline called "Phuket Airlines"? I wish they had t-shirts cuz I want one!Wednesday, March 22, 2006
SuckerPunching FOX NEWS
Maybe a primer in the English language is necessary for the HuffPo.
They really believe that Rove, Fox, and the RNC, are all one and the same. How sad and shortsighted they are. Clink on the Headline link to go to the 'one line' breaking story...
Fox News Declares “It's Too Late...We're Already Probably At War With Iran”...
Note the circled onscreen text: Is America 'already' at war with Iran? Does that seem like a declaration or is that just a question? Much like, "Is Iraq in Civil War?"Cavuto said, 'But what if I told you it is too late, that we’re already probably at war with Iran and most of us don’t even know it?"
That is considered a declaration by FOX News? "What if I told you" and "probably" are a definitive declaration?
Remember, this is the very beginning of a news commentary show (not the nightly news), and this lead in line is the 'teaser'. Furthermore, the link to the story fails to provide any further details whatsover. No followup about what Neil said later in the broadcast or any clarification. The entire 'story' is simply a headline and a one line quote taken out of context with no explanation. The link to the story at ThinkProgress consists of a transcript (one sentence) and a video (video of that one sentence). All portrayed to make it appear that FOX had declared war as a de facto arm of the Bush Administration.
Look, I know Fox is killing the competition, but do you have to resort to this, Arianna?
So, Arianna, keep using lies and distortions to try and bad mouth FOX. The fact that you used a deceitful headline (once more) and a link to a completely uninformative, non-story speaks volumes as to who the real hucksters are.
And speaking of the HuffPo goons, lets see how some of their readers have responded to this ONE LINE NON-STORY. This is hilarious shit the way they start frothing at the mouth at the mere mention of Fox:
WTF!!! Our president and his accomplises at Fox News have got to be stopped. We can't just declare war on everybody.
Unlike real journalists who REPORT the news, the regime shills at Faux News like to CREATE the news, STEER the news, SPIN the news and just plain LIE. Shameless. Absolutely shameless.
WOW! This immediately reminded me of when FAUX declared Bush won the 2000 election
WELCOME TO THE WAR-AND-TORTURE STATES OF AMERICA - BROUGHT TO THE REST OF THE WORLD BY THE REPUBLICoN MAFIA
ONLY THE WORLD'S #1 DUMBEST TERRORIST NATION WOULD BE STUPID ENOUGH AND EVIL ENOUGH TO INVADE YET ANOTHER SOVEREIGN NATION AND KILL AND MAIM ANOTHER 200, 000 MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN......AND GET ITS HEAD HANDED BACK TO IT ON A PLATTER...
Last I knew Bush had to ask Congress before he starts waging war.
I want a reporter to ask Bush why his daughters are not serving overseas since the mission is so noble (according to him).
See, it doesnt take much. You throw a little red meat to the digital brownshirts and they make BBQ.
Slam Dunk By Bush
In case you missed the White House press conference the other day, Bush ate Helen Thomas's lunch. He beat her like a red headed stepchild.
So, my brother says:
I think Bush should do his own White House press briefings. Fuck Scott Mclelland. Mclelland is like a fucking hamster. Where's Ari Fleisher when you need him? Bush should do his own press briefings...and he can set them straight and make them look like the partisan assholes that they are. Send Cheney to conduct the White House press briefings. Cheney would absolutely take their lunch money and slam them down in the playground mud. There's no way they could contain themselves. They would absolutely go ape shit, and everyone could see what hateful childish assholes they really are.
And he is absolutely correct. I was listening to the Neal Boortz Show the other day and Neal said, "President Bush should stroll into one those White House press briefings, step up to the mic and say, "Hillary, shut the hell up and sit down" , BOOM 84 point approval rating!"

Arianna Believes In Nothing
I think Arianna is beginning to show signs of dementia. She is hysterically anti-Christian and mocking of belief in God.
She writes in her blog today:
Did you catch Bush's evangelical-deer-caught-in-the-political-headlights moment Monday?
It came during the Q & A session following his speech on Iraq.
The first question came from a woman who asked:
"[Author Kevin Phillips] makes the point that members of your administration have reached out to prophetic Christians who see the war in Iraq and the rise of terrorism as signs of the apocalypse.
Do you believe this, that the war in Iraq and the rise of terrorism are signs of the apocalypse? And if not, why not?"
First he hemmed. Then he hawed. Then he hemmed some more.
Arianna, dear.....Forget that he just finished giving a speech on Iraq, do you really think this is this kind of question a sane person asks? I might expect it from Cindy Sheehan or Helen Thomas, but youve waited all this time, you finally have the opportunity to ask the President of the United States a question and you ask 'are these signs of the apocalypse'? OF COURSE he was taken aback. He was like, 'what the fuck?'.
And the sad thing is, it wasnt Helen or Cindy asking the retardo question.
Of course Arianna thinks its a reasonable question. She writes,
I mean, come on. The man is a born again, evangelical Christian whose favorite political philosopher is Jesus, has let it be know that God speaks to -- and through -- him, believes "in a divine plan that supercedes all human plans"... and he wants us to buy that he's never even heard of, let alone thought about the biblical implications of terrorism in relation to the apocalypse?
Sorry if I find this Revelation just a little hard to swallow.
You are very dishonest to insinuate the Bush 'hears' an audible voice of God that talks to him and then somehow 'channels' through him like he's some sort of dime-store pyschic. I believe in God. I believe God speaks to all of us, he speaks through all of us, he lives through all of us. Its metaphorical, dummy. Surely you understand that, or you are clearly ignorant. If neither, then you are a liar, Arianna.
Who hasnt heard of the apocalypse? How was that relevant?
We've all heard of UFO's and alien abductions. Surely Bush has. That should make it a reasonable point of discussion then, dont you think?
Thats why I would have gone for the brass ring if I was a reporter:
"Mr. President, why is the govt hiding the bodys of captured space aliens at Area 51? Has the govt been active in retro-engineering the alien technology, and if so, how is that technology being implemented on the battlefield in Iraq?"
Hmmmm. I'm guessing the president would be clearly taken aback. I'm sure the look on his face would say, "What the fuck?"

Ashcroft Under Fire From Arianna's Glass House
Arianna sets her sites on John Ashcroft today, who has registered as a lobbyist.
Arianna says, "So the former holy rolling AG has now hung out his K Street shingle...."
Former holy roller? Even the term 'holy roller' is a slap in the face of Americans who do believe in God. Do you mean to say that his relationship to God is void because he is making a legal living?
The moonbat left would have you believe that all lobbyists are greedy white Republicans and that all of them are dishonest.
Head Moonbat Arianna states, "Under his guidance, the Justice Department ended up charging only one person, Zacarias Moussaoui, with direct involvement with 9/11. And we see how well that's going."
Is that the best you've got? Zacarias was the only one who missed his flight, Arianna. The reason things are not going so well is due to left wing defense lawyers who are using every trick in the book to ensure that this terrorist gets the same legal results as OJ.
John Ashcroft is gainfully employed, legally paid, and is doing nothing wrong. The HuffPo would have you believe that success is a crime, that rich people have somehow cheated their way to wealth.
Talk about living in glass houses. Arianna resides in a 7 million dollar mansion and attained her fabulous wealth by marrying a wealthy gay guy in a sham marriage.
At least John works for his money. I fail to see how that makes him a 'former holy roller'.
Lets take at look at how some of the digital brownshirts of Tolerant Left respond to John Ashcroft making a perfectly legal living:
For Republican fascist swine like Ashcroft, it's invariably about money. And making millions while the rest of the less fortunate Americans go without health insurance, or, in the case of New Orleans, wonder when their trailer will be ready.
(ED NOTE: Liberal Rule #1Nobody should be allowed to make profit if others are suffering)
Ashcroft is just another right-wing money whore. And for him to claim to be even remotely Christian is even more laughable and tragic.
Are we surprised that a former member of the corrupt administration ends up becoming a "scuzzy" lobbyist who will grease palms with silver to ensure that corporations get the ear and favours of government?
Now he can get in on the looting of America with the rest of the Republicans.
Ashcroft is just another gravy-sucking pig gorging himself at the public trough.
Tom Daschle is making noise about running for president in '08. What does he do for a living?
Oh, thats right, he's a lobbyist, just like his wife and every other retired Senator and Congressman. In fact, his daughter is a registered lobbyist.
Dont kid yourselves.
Where was the outrage when Tom Daschle started as a lobbyist? And where do people get the ridiculous notion that being a Christian means you must live in abject poverty? Where is it written that success beyond a certain level is greed? We live in a capitalistic society.
Socialism does not work. It seems utopian on paper, but just look at how well its working in France and California...
