Praise Korea, Bash The U.S.

The words "Independence Day" are nowhere to be found on the front HuffPo page. However North Korea's missile launch merits top billing.

The HuffPo left one small fact out of their story: they failed to mention that the Korean missile failed 35 secs into launch. Meanwhile, the successful launch of the space shuttle gets a sidenote.
Here are some comments from the HuffPo moonbats pertaining to the Korean launch.

Happy 4th of July, capitalist pigs! By: ControlledBurn on July 04, 2006 at 04:17pm

And within minutes of the shuttle, no less! Kim Jong-il has got to be laughing his insane fat ass off! By: belldaere on July 04, 2006 at 04:21pm

I hope our naive leaders can handle this with some tact. Very scary. By: iraflowers on July 04, 2006 at 04:24pm

Happy 4th. Duck and cover. By: liberalmike on July 04, 2006 at 04:25pm

And regarding the Space Shuttle Launch:

Aside from the fact that the "delay" of launch was a pathetic PR move to get them to go up on the 4th, every member of congress as well as We the People should hang our heads in SHAME that our tax dollars are being WASTED on shuttle launches when we have children of our own country who are starving and living in shelters, if they are lucky. But, nooooooo, chimpy mcflightsuit has to have his 4th of July spectacular (ordinary fireworks arent good enough for our dictator) and fuck the average American citizen, as he has been doing ever since he stole the election in 2000. By: rosie on July 04, 2006 at 03:36pm

More fireworks to divert attention away from reality. By: kane on July 04, 2006 at 03:03pm

A PR stunt for the 4th of July. I'm surpirsed Bush wasn't there to "suit" up with his codpiece and be one of the boys! By: nuffera on July 04, 2006 at 03:58pm

Re science, NASA, and the Repukes: It is the height of irony that an administration that makes war on science would take advantage of some of engineering's (applied science's) best TV moments on the Fourth. By: ReasonIsMyReligion on July 04, 2006 at 04:03pm

How many terminal cases of cancer could have been cured with the money used for this launch?
How many diseases could have been cured with the money used for this program?
That's the true cost. By: ArchAngel on July 04, 2006 at 06:18pm

I wonder what the NASA is up to this time? Their mission terrifies me. By: EZ on July 04, 2006 at 07:07pm

Senor - I certainly wonder why so many profane ranting moonbats, whose foil covered hats are on too tight, leave comments such as they do. Perhaps it is because the Michael Moore crowd has no life in the real world.

Most of their drivel is just that. Well, maybe some of it is Super Drivel. - I get tired of reading it real quick and cannot understand how you can slog through it all to put a post like this together.

Wonderful post by the way. - I hope some of the moonbats come by, take a peek at what their fellows are doing and REALLY question the IQ of their compatriots.

NASAs budget has been reduced to nothing over the years and I do believe it's possible to continue launches AND make headway in feeding the starving in this country. One does not necessarily encroach on the other. If we're to continue having a space program however I think we need to trash the shuttle for something better. It's better days are gone.

Love the chimpy mcflight suit line.
