Bush Addresses NAACP - HuffPo Plays Race Card

"I consider it a tragedy that the party of Abraham Lincoln let go of its historical ties with the African-American community," Bush said. "For too long, my party wrote off the African-American vote, and many African-Americans wrote off the Republican Party."
"It's a lot easier to change a law than to change a human heart. And I understand that many African-Americans distrust my political party." ( a bit different than the misleading headling from the HuffPo)
But many in the convention center stood and clapped when he urged the Senate to renew a landmark civil rights law passed in the 1960s to end racist voting practices, such as poll taxes and literacy tests, in Southern states.

The Senate passed the bill (unanimously) later Thursday and sent it to the White House.

No matter what the President does, he can't win with the moonbat left. They accused him of being racist in earlier years for not addressing the convention.

Now that he has addressed them, the wingbats are even more convinced that he is a racist. Whenever the president goes anywhere or does anything the libtards cry "PHOTO OP!"

Here's how the enlightened HuffPo readers reacted to Bush extending the olive branch to the NAACP:

Wow. Well into your second term and this is the golden nugget you came up with? Fuck you, Chimpy Mcflight suite. You go to hell and die!!!!

I just saw a few seconds of President Shitstain's speech on PBS, but it sounded like phoney applause, like 2 people close to the mics clapping real hard.

By: tko on July 20, 2006 at 08:32pm

Bush and the Republicans already have the African-American vote... their votes get magically changed from Democratic to Republican right in the Diebold electronic voting booths.
By: ladude on July 20, 2006 at 08:36pm

They shoud have been polite and then booed him off the "stage." Another photo op for the idiot? Did he have black friends growing up? Did he have Jewish friends?
By: PhillyCook on July 20, 2006 at 08:47pm

What do you expect when you don't count their votes???

By: rbfbeerguy on July 20, 2006 at 08:56pm

Hey Bush, FUCK YOU BASTARD. You are a lying sack of shit so take that to your confederate flag waving mentally ill freaks that believe the lies that come from your pie hole!!
By: chronic on July 20, 2006 at 09:12pm

This asshole is so inappropriate, I can't understand why he didn't go in blackface.
They must not hate him like I do or he would have been booed off the stage.
By: nowar on July 20, 2006 at 09:14pm

Could it be that this is his pathetic attempt to get black people to vote for his pathetically racist, bigoted, KKK group of neo-cons in November? Dumbfuck, please go to the Mideast instead of sending your lover, Condi. With any luck, a rocket will hit you and our long nightmare will be over.
By: sarge311 on July 20, 2006 at 09:17pm

You stole two elections by kicking innocent black folk off of the voter roles and by going to a racist, crooked ,supreme court and stopping the counting of our votes. then you hire and parade around uncle toms like colin powell and cunny rice, infuriating us further. we will never trust your sorry ass.

Surprise "W" you do not have to be a person of color to not trust you and your political fascist party! By: LibertyWatch on July 21, 2006 at 08:09am

Still complaining about accurate headlines I see.

How exactly does it misrepresent his statement to remove "And I understand that many" from "And I understand that many African-Americans distrust my political party." ?

The whole sentence is too long for a headline, what would you have suggested they use?

As for winning over anyone who disagrees with this administration, be they moonbat left or moderate conservative, maybe it would have been more effective if it werent such a blatant political move, The senate refused to renew the voting rights act just a week or two ago, along strictly partisan lines of course, those republicans killing the bill with their superior numbers and complete control of our legislature... and now they do it the day Bush deigns to address the NAACP? that's a handy package dont you think? It must have been pander to the black vote day in the GOP, too bad most folks, black or otherwise see right through this kind of pathetic political manuevering. But hey, the lemmings sure think it looks good.

As for the remarks which are often cuastic, is it really so different than the conservative sites that allow comments? I cant see how.

Then again when you have folks like Ann Coulter admitting to a federal crime without so much as a cursury glance to see whether she should be arrested for it, (maybe they are too busy looking at her voter fraud)how can you expect those who find this administration immoral and criminal to be anything but outraged at this obvious pandering?

Obviously you can not expect civility from those who are most outraged, from either side.

YES, there is a big difference. I cannot find a mainstream conservative political site that has language remotely similar to the hate espoused by these loons.

I've looked, Joe. And please dont come back with some link to a KKK site or white supremacy site, we know those people are whackjobs, just point me to a conservative political site that espouses hatred on the same level as these freaks.

"Libtard", and "moonbat" pale in comparison to the terms they use.

Hey for that matter, point my to a conservative site where people defend Hezbollah, and praise the braveness of Zarqawi.

There's always this from http://www.passionateamerica.blogspot.com/
Noam Chomsky is a traitor and should be executed!

Yah, I said it! Noam Chomsky is a traitor and should be executed! Nothing is more pathetic than a Jew that hates Jews. Well maybe a lefty socialist Jew that hates Jews and would side with Muslim terrorists over America. F**K Noam Chomsky, F**K him in his stupid a$$! If Noam Chomsky was not such a tool for Muslim terrorists they would have killed him and sawed off his head, but why kill someone that you can use to kill more infidels?

nice huh? and to think all he does is disagree with american foriegn policy. This is just like the jane fonda stupidity, people with no power treated like their opinions in some way hurt the US. Americans disagreeing with policy doesnt hurt us, it proves our democracy is still functioning, the whole world knows that.

Beat them until they beg for mercy and admit defeat

Sounds pretty level headed. Doesnt really matter who is being talked about here, The bloodthirsty rhetoric says it all.

Now I realize these arent huge traffic sites like HuffPo, but I am at a loss in trying to find any conservative news site that actually allows comments, which so far as I cant tell, is becuase if they did I would have the evidence you are asking for. I could be wrong though, is there another reason I cant think of? Do you know any conservative outlet that actually allows comments? I do know ann coulter has a forum, but I cant join it since they wont accept yahoo or hotmail accounts, I dont give my pop address to anyone but freinds, I dont get any spam now and after over 6 years I want to keep it that way. Somehow I doubt her commentors are moderate in any fashion.

The thing is, if conservative sites, the main ones anyway, dont allow comments at all, how can I say what their readers think? I can certainly assume, but that's hardly fair. Blogs are hardly indicative as they all get limited readership just like the liberal blogs, the only real difference is almost every liberal blog, and sites like Media matters Huffpo, Daily Kos, and Talking points memo all allow comments virtually unmoderated, I have yet to see a single major conservative site that allows that freedom, but please if you can point one out I will be happy to start reading it, I read as many as I can find, Drudge is pretty lame in my opinion, but he doesnt allow any comments so I can hardly complain about their slant directly.

As I said I'm not talking about your blog or anyone elses that just have one contributer, on the whole places like this at least allow comments, even though many moderate them, but there are liberals who moderate pretty heavy too. I still have never seen a single one of my posts get through over at HuffPo, and they simply do not answer my tech support email. I find it pretty odd since I am often in agreement with them, and I rarely say anything really offensive and I never threaten anyone. But who knows, maybe there's just something wrong with my connection.

As far as "mainstream" conservative sites go, how exaclty do you get to use mainstream conservatives for your side of the argunebt, and expect me to accept who you yourself call extreme left wackjobs as mainstream left? that's just hypocritical. The KKK, white supremisists, neo-nazi and fascists are the Conservative version of the loony left. The very people you say I cant point to are the exact equivalent to the crazies on the left. Nice how you get to frame the argument to remove such equivalency, it certainly does make the conservatives look more moderate if all I get to choose from is moderate conservatism while you pick solely from the craziest of the liberals.

Straw men seem to be your only defense tactic. That and name calling.

Why is it the good christian conservatives have no trouble with dishonesty and hypocracy?

Marie that's a nice talking point, but there are many plans put forth by the democrats, having no power kind of makes it difficult to do anything about it. But so long as we are on the subject, what is the conservative plan in iraq, they are actually in power and making all the decisions, what is the plan?

The plan can't be "when Iraqi's stand up we will stand down", that's not a plan at all, its hoping Iraqi's do the work for them. That's like planning your financial future based solely on lottery winnings you havent won yet.

Back in previous posts on this site I have linked to several democrat sponsored plans, you are welcome to search back through my posts to see them.

ooh and I let a nasty typo slip through in the last post:

"argunebt" is "argument"
