Four military recruiters hastily fled a job fair Tuesday morning at UC Santa Cruz after a raucous crowd of student protesters blocked an entrance to the building where the Army and National Guard had set up information tables.
Members of Students Against War, who organized the counter-recruiting protest, loudly chanted "Don't come back. Don't come back" as the recruiters left the hilltop campus, escorted by several university police officers.
"The situation had degraded to the point where there was a possibility of injury to either a student or law enforcement officer. We certainly didn't want that to happen,'' said Capt. Will Griffin, one of the Army recruiters.
These are the tactics of The Left. You don't see this kind of crap from the conservative ranks. The Left will shout you down, block your entrance, throw pies, key your car, makes asses of themselves. They don't believe that the Constitution applies to the very soldiers who protect their freedoms.
I'm simply astonished at the audacity of these protesters actions. The SUPREME COURT recently handed down a decision that says military recruiters have a right to be on campus. Potential enlistees have a fundamental right to meet with these recruiters and to join the armed services if that is their wish. Your Constitutional Rights mean NOTHING to The Left. If you don't agree with them, then you don't deserve your rights.
Take a look at the Army recruiter in this picture. This guy could break any one those limpwristed protesters into about a million worthless pieces. You can't miss the disgusted look on his face. This soldier has probably put his life on the line for his country and what does he get for it?
A big middle finger from The Left.

How depressing it is to think that government PELL grants are paying for much of the protestor's education.
That's the law that should be written. Any obstruction towards military recruiters and your fed. $'s disappear.
I know it is disappointing for this soldier, but at the end of the day he must get satisfaction knowing that he is the better man.
I wish I knew who he was. I'd send him a letter of support..
Shit.... that is a law that schools receiving funds allow recruiters..

The recruiters should go right back tomorrow and if this happens again then the government should act fast to enforce this law. I guarantee, once that money dries up so will the protestors.
I can't tell you how much this pisses me off. I think Republicans, in general, could learn to understand tolerance better. But the left, their single-mindedness guised in the aura of acceptance and diversity is sickening.
This behavior is so commonplace, yet it seems the Dems always get a pass.
"Make love, not war"...but they are the first to attack pro-war demonstrators at rallies.
"Economic inequality must stop"...but they rabidly reject school vouchers for poor children
"Global warming is destroying the planet"....yet they'd rather our politicians spend billions on Kyoto rather than feeding and educating the world

Bush's lack of eloquence gives the left fuel and allows their actions to go unnoticed or at leased suppresed. It's a real shame, because they've exposed themselves, but they don't look so bad when the President is calling everyone 'evildoers'.
Where was campus security, Joe? The recruiters left for reasons of 'safety'. In other words, a mob was forming and it wasnt going to be safe. Any good red-blooded American who tried to enter and speak with the recruiters would have been tarred and feathers.
It is the university's fault. They have campus police who could have put a stop to this near-riot.
There are new laws regarding abortion clinics, Joe. You get arrested if you try to block somebody from entering.
These students trampled all over the rights of other students who dont agree with their twisted libtard philosophy. They deserve to lose their federal funding.
This is an everyday thing across the country, Joe. Conservative speakers need police protection when they go on campus because of the threats of violence. Yes, there are whackjobs on both sides, but the Left is notorious for this crap. Its the first page of their playbook:

Joe, the article says the recruiters were escorted away out of concerns for their safety. That constitutes danger from a mob, i.e. 'dangerous mob'. They were concerned that somebody would be HURT.
It's one thing to protest, its completely another to forbid lawful entry onto the campus especially considering that The Supreme Court says they have a RIGHT to be there.
Let's say Cindy Sheehan is giving the commencement address at a college and I protest. Thats legal. Now lets say we block the entrance so nobody can enter. We wear black ski masks and shout threats to intimidate anybody who wants to hear Sheehan. Thats alright with you?
Now here is where you prove that the constitution means nothing to you:
